CR33
Industrial Direct-to-Fabric Inkjet Printer

Taking account of the characteristics and dimensional stability of textile substrates, Amica designs and manufactures CR33 industrial direct-to-fabric inkjet printer. From highly integrated print head carriage, ink supply system, platen with a trough, media feeding system, to multi-station drying system, CR33 is tailored to printing with water-based dye or pigment inks onto a wide variety of textile substrates, especially on polyester and open-weave fabrics. CR33 can be customized based on different industrial DOD piezoelectric grayscale print heads to satisfy various application needs. Because the construction of the printer is sturdy, the printing quality remains stable even at high-speed printing mode.

Owing to the proven halftone algorithms embedded in ColorPRINT RIP software, CR33 offers you high-quality prints with smooth gradients, brilliant and vivid colors, and soft skin tones. CR33 also provides better and sufficient penetration of inks in textile substrates so that the printed fabrics like flags can achieve a high “see-through” effect. CR33 is your ideal choice for digital textile applications, including soft signage, clothing, and home textiles.

Features

High-quality Printing

Grayscale and light color printing. CR33 can print with the inks of CMYK or CMYKLcLm. Amica’s proprietary Variable Droplet Size control technology combining with light color printing allows superior quality prints with soft skin tones, smooth gradients, as well as crisp and clear small-size texts and lines. You will not only benefit from low ink consumption, but also obtain high-quality final prints.

6-color printing technology

Advanced degas system.  Dissolved gases will inevitably accumulate in the ink as a result of repeatedly pressurizing and decompressing the piezoelectric crystal. The hollow fiber membranes in the degas system of CR33 efficiently eliminate the air bubbles that may impact on nozzle performance for consistent and reliable print quality.

Degas System
Consistent and Brilliant Color Reproduction

Powerful color management system (CMS). CR33 supports professional color management workflow and is compatible with various international standard ICC profiles. Users are allowed to establish, modify and manage ICC profiles according to their own needs, while consistent and accurate color reproduction can be achieved with high printing efficiency.

Color book and special color. Color Book in ColorPRINT enables you to define a range of color swatches. After printing swatches on target media and completing the finishing processes, you can choose your desired swatch and enter its color value into the Special Color Library in ColorPRINT or your design applications. All you do will empower you to print out exact colors efficiently and easily.

Spot color. CR33 enables you to print spot colors with the combination of process inks or spot inks. It helps you to meet the stringent corporate brand requirements while printing corporate logos and recognizing colors.

Exquisite and Seamless Repeated Images

Step & Repeat. You just need to add a single repeat into ColorPRINT, rather than wasting time to create huge files containing many repeats in design applications. ColorPRINT also offers a lot of settings to adjust your repeats, such as shift size, mirror types and the control of drop, slide or diagonal.

Seamlessly printing repeats. ColorPRINT can not only RIP overall image with many repeats for the ideal printing quality, but also RIP one repeat for high Ripping speed. Utilizing proprietary halftone algorithms, ColorPRINT will well eliminate seams between repeats. PCS (Printer Control Software) can also use Ripped data only containing one repeat for printing and fit for the length and width of textiles.

Step & Repeat

Accurate Release and Take-up System

The release and take-up system of CR33 is specially designed for handling the advancement of fabrics on a wide-format inkjet printer. The effective media path makes it easy to load heavy rolls tightly and straightly. It also ensures steps of the fabrics are constant and avoids the touch between the print head and the fabric.

  • The pinch rubber roller presses fabrics tightly together with un-wind rubber roller. The pressure can be adjusted for different fabrics so as to keep fabrics even before printing.
  • Two servo motors accurately control the rotary movement of un-wind & re-wind drive rubber rollers.
  • Swing bars with stable structures keep media flat and achieve straight movement of media during printing.
  • Un-wind & re-wind pneumatic shafts make it easy to load and unload heavy rolls.
  • Depending on the dimensional stabilities of fabrics, the torsions of two torsion motors of pneumatic shafts can be adjusted to primarily control the tension of media path.

Highlights

Highly Integrated Carriage

  • With the help of a microprocessor, Active Negative Pressure System has the ability of displaying the real-time negative pressure value and ensures high-speed and high-quality printing when print heads jet at higher firing frequency.
  • The Electrical Z-axis Height Adjust Mechanism can control the height of the print heads accurately for printing or maintenance.
  • The Automatic Print Head Anti-collision Mechanism will stop the moving carriage immediately in case of emergency situations, effectively ensuring the safety of the print heads.

Ink Trough
CR33 employs an Ink Trough under platen to catch the ink that passes through the fabric. This design is especially suitable for the high ink coverage or printing on media with an open weave such as mesh flag. A block of sponge can be placed into the ink trough if necessary for better ink absorption and convenient maintenance.

Efficient Drying System

The Drying System is consisted of pre-drying module, ink mist extraction device and post-drying module. The efficient drying system achieves better ink absorption so that inks can be dried before fabrics are rewound.

  • Pre-drying Module: Dries ink after fabrics get through the ink trough to maintain better color development.
  • Ink Mist Extraction Device: Improves the interior environment and guarantees a haze-free print image.
  • Post-drying Module: Enhances ink drying for easy fabric handling.

Automatic Print Head Maintenance
Based on an all-in-one design concept, the small and compact Print Head Maintenance Module allows automatic purging, wiping and capping for convenient unattended operation.
